I think that's just a song that sounds odd when sung a capella, she had a nice tone.

it doesn't have a lot of opportunities to really show off, I need to hear her sing something else. But I'm sure she's great.

I like her, and lumberjack is one of the cooler professions, but her voice was a bit generic for me. Pleasant enough.

I don't mind generic because then you can switch it up a lot. A lot of people with very unique voices kind of end up doing the same thing over and over again and I get bored.

I get that, for me though I like the more unique voices and I like to know what kind of music the contestant is going to put out after the show. I guess that's where the intersection of 'talent show' and 'showcase for new artists' comes, I lean toward the latter but I know a lot of people view it more as the former.
