lol no, silly ivy. this is a first for a contestant to sing their single on the tour following their season.

tamyra didn't sing her single on her tour, she sang it on s3's tour.

And this is the point where I call Pia overrated and call this whole thing BS and stop supporting her...being totally serious too...I mean seriously? She has a good voice and all but puh-leaseeeeee she placed NINTH! Focus on your dang winner 19/Fremantle/Idol/Interscope whoever...won't be supporting her anymore

that's kind of an overreaction, imo. scotty and lauren have both been signed, weeks ago, and both have singles out right now that are currently charting, and scotty in particular is charting really well. they've been getting a lot of great promo, and both came in top 50 on HDD numbers for those little 5 song eps. they are totally being focused on.

on top of all this, it's not like it's pia's fault the record company has faith in her. they have to promote these kids as soon as possible, and since the top 2 have been pushed well, they're focusing on the other possible sellers.

I'm thrilled she's signed, but I'm a little miffed that she's releasing a single in a week and singing it on tour when Haley and James, who placed 3rd and 4th, have nada coming on the heels of their own signing announcements.

I'M NOT A FAN OF IDOL CONTESTANTS SINGING THEIR SINGLES ON TOUR UNLESS IT'S THE WINNER'S SINGLE, WHICH IN MOST CASES ISN'T EVEN THE REAL FIRST SINGLE

Besides, getting booted earlier means she's had more time to work on this, whereas Haley pretty much went from booting to finale to tour rehearsals without much downtime to get in the studio. It makes sense.

thank you, i was getting ready to get annoyed at all this negative ~fairness shit being brought into the post (with no real facts, mind you).

like, who cares, the show is over, lets all be happy these kids are getting to make new music, and esp allowing it to be on tour. this is an exciting thing!

IT'S NOT ABOUT ~FAIRNESS IDK IT'S A THING. LIKE I JUST WANT ALL THINGS TO BE ALL ABOUT IDOL AND FORGET THAT THEY HAVE TO SURVIVE IN THE WORLD OUTSIDE DURING THE TOUR. WHICH IS UNFAIR AND IMPOSSIBLE I KNOW BUT UGH IDK, IT'S A WEIRD THING I HAVE, I CAN'T EVEN EXPLAIN IT RATIONALLY

BUT YOU KNOW IT'S GOOD THAT SHE'S BEEN SIGNED AND HAVE A SINGLE OUT AND SHE GETS TO SEE THE PUBLIC'S REACTION TO IT LIVE IN A WIDE SCALE
