How has Hicks managed to stay relevant?

Persistence. Determination. Hard work. Being business-savvy.

None of this is any surprise to anyone who knew his pre-Idol history. He was a full-time working musician and just saw Idol as one more gig to make some money. He didn't buy into the Idol hype, he pandered as no one has ever pandered before or since because he knew that that was how to play the game, and when it was over he moved on with his career and leveraged the fuck out of whatever minimal clout Idol can bring to a non-top-40 musician, which is what he always was.

I LOVE TAYLOR. I like when Idol contestants are smart and know exactly what they're in for. I have a ton of respect all the Idols who don't get a lot of hype like Carrie and J-Hud and Kelly who remain successful despite falling out of the spotlight because they're smart about their careers and how to use their fame.

IDK if it's ~alllllllll the Idol winners. I guess we'll see! We had them all last year, didn't we? That made me want to cry. LMAO. I'm hoping one day they'll somehow get like the top 3 from every single season together together for some kind of giant production. It would be insane.
