This sounds like it won't backfire at all.

Because you know, there isn't anyone's opinion I trust more than that of JLO, Steven, and Randy.

But then again maybe if they had to chose who would go home their brains would implode because they'd have to have an opinion other than "You're gorgeous/beautiful/talented/etc."

I'm not sure I'd like judges getting the final say unless they had better judges. Maybe when they start, you know, really judging I'll feel confident in them.

When Nigel says "judges" I'm pretty sure he means "Nigel". That's (one of) my biggest problems with it.

I'm always amused by people who haven't caught on after 9 full seasons that this show is totally fixed by the producers.
