Interesting concept. I think I heard that the director is a NC friend of his who is going to film school (maybe as a graduate student?) in California. It sort of looks like she wanted to use all the the special effects techniques she has learned in school.
Ohh I think I know who you're talking about. I remember she was posting Twitpics from the set. I don't think she's the one who directed it, though. I'm pretty sure she was just helping/observing.
