I'm watching Season 7 now for the first time (I've never really watched Idol) and the way Ryan and Simon fling homophobic jokes at each other like it's perfectly acceptable disgusts me.

I also really hate Idol's whole faux award ceremony for the worst auditions because it's just an excuse to mock and belittle people. >:[

Yeah, I loved that little interview she and Simon did together where they asked them both about political correctness. And Simon said he didn't believe in it and Ellen quietly shot him down by saying that as someone who has suffered from bigotry, she thinks it's very important. Ilu, Ellen. :')
