Have you ever read 'Queen of Camelot' by Nancy McKenzie? Originally it was two books, 'The Child Queen' and 'The High Queen', but more recently the editors compiled it into the one volume.
Anyway, it's the Arthurian legends, but told from Gwen's point of view. It's one of the reason why I try to hold out faith that the writers will do *something* with Gwen and make her an independent, strong woman and queen separate from Arthur. It also addresses all the major characters: Morgana, Morgause, Lancelot, Mordred, Merlin, Gorlois, Ygraine, Elaine, Galahad (in the sequel).
(There's a point to this post, I swear!) Although its more of a question: What Arthurian type books do you recommend? Fiction or non, doesn't matter to me.
The obvious (and top of most everyone's list)
1. Mists of Avalon
2. T.H. White's The Once and Future King
My recommendations:
1. Queen of Camelot by Nancy McKenzie (also prequels Guinevere's Gift and Guinevere's Gamble)
1a. Grail Prince (Galahad)
1b. Prince of Dreams (Tristan and Isolde)
Come on Merlin fans! I need some new stuff for my Nook...
EDIT: Compiling a list so that it's easier to access.
