WHO: Luffy, Kairi, Open WHAT: Luffy sneaks out to the Tea Shop and meets Kairi WHERE: Sogyo Tea and Imports WHEN: Day. Ern. Someone gonna create a function for this? Ah! Day 83. Yosh.
Luffy certainly wasn't the only one that had been getting restless. Kairi had decided to take pity on all of those who had to be permanently in a wheelchair, because she sure as hell didn't enjoy having to be in one for another two weeks. And even then, her left foot still had quite a bit of healing to do, no thanks to Grimmjow.
And though she kept telling Rukia over and over again that she didn't need to go get that foot checked out, they eventually went and found out that it needed even longer to heal because of the damage done to it while it was healing.
Needless to say, Kairi was pretty unhappy about those results.
Either way, the redhead was getting tired of staying in that chair, and even staying in her own home. So the moment those bruises around her neck, on her arms and legs, and her unattractive black eye finally healed up, she was back out of the house and working at the tea shop with her... what was it now, third family? But that was fine. She liked them a lot, and they were all just what she needed sometimes. Though,

"Hey, it's Kairi!" Luffy's eyes lit up as he pushed the window open and dropped into the room. Another one of the people he'd talked to online but hadn't gotten to see in person. He was a little surprised to see her in a wheel chair, but there was never any telling what people looked like on the internet, at least compared to their icons. Luffy sometimes took advantage of this and would operate a borrowed computer without pants, on occasion.
"How are you?" He asked, giving a quick glance around to see if Jushirou or Ken were also present. It seemed like Kairi was by herself at the moment, so he bounded over that way.
"You really have to ask?" she replied with a soft laugh. Then again, it wasn't like Luffy knew what had happened to her, or that this wasn't a permanent arrangement. She hoped it didn't end up permanent, anyway.
She (unfortunately) remembered their first conversation, and now that she was meeting Luffy in person, it was a bit embarrassing to think about. As long as he didn't bring it up, she was sure she'd be okay.
Deciding to elaborate, Kairi spoke again. "I just got a little beat up, but I'm fine now. Just waiting to heal up so I can finally do something other than sit around all day."
"Aww, that sucks. I hope the other guy is on a stretcher" Luffy nodded. He knew about getting beat up, it'd taken him about a week to get back to normal after his own ass getting handed to him. "Do you want any help with stuff?" He asked, looking around at whatever Kairi was doing.
He'd forgotten about the conservation that introduced himself to Kairi all together. He just remembered that she was a nice person, and since she was a friend of Ken and Mr. Sogyo's, she had to be alright.
