It was only a short ride over to Vash's apartment, she found herself there in no time. She wished he would have come over instead but going to his place didn't bother her so much. At least she was going to get a few drinks out of the night and it would certainly make her feel better.

She tromped her way to his door and knocked much harder than she needed to. Hiyori was impatient and grouchy, though she was always like that it was currently multiplied.

Vash started up from his chair and ran over to the door. "Don't go breaking it down, now~" Vash said, jokingly whining. He opened the door with a kind smile. "You won't get anything if you break it." He took a step back from the door and let her in. He gestured to the table within sight from the door where the bottle and glasses were set.

"Come on in~" Vash let her in and shut the door behind her, walking over to the table and promptly taking a seat. He opened the bottle and poured the amber liquid into each of the glasses. He thought it best not to try any small talk with Hiyori in the mood she was in without giving her some starting drinks.

The small woman made her way inside, looking around the apartment before following Vash over to the table. She sat down, slipping her sandals off and pulling her legs up into the chair to sit Indian style.

Hiyori took the glass, mumbling a thanks before taking a sip. Just the familiar taste alone relaxed her a bit. She nodded in approval and took a large drink, letting out a sigh once it was down.

Vash watched her carefully. The last thing he wanted was for her to break anything in his apartment. It wasn't that much of a place. Straight ahead was the dinner table, and to the right upon entering was the kitchen. To the left was the living room and a hallway to the bathroom and bedroom. Vash lived a rather modest life. The only thing he really splurged on were dinners with beautiful women like Temari, and good whiskey, which was occasionally hard to find.

"I take it you approve?" Vash said with a shy smile, and poured her another glass before downing his own. No one should ever have to drink alone.

Hiyori's head shot up from the table as Vash's question fell on her ears. Her face was a deep shade of red and she cursed herself for getting so worked up so easily. "Th-there's not anyone." she stuttered after finding her tongue.

Silly girl thinking she could lie about something when she made it so obvious. After a moment the petite blonde let out a sigh and sunk back down to the table. "Its...Hirako." she mumbled, almost hoping he wouldn't hear her.

Vash knew he had gotten somewhere by her reaction, a kind and understanding smile spreading over his features. "I think there is~" Vash said with a light singing sort of tone. He just had tp push a little bit further, that was all. There was no lying to the man who was so intune with people.

Vash blinked. "Shinji? What did he do this time? Do I have to beat him up?" Shinji and Vash got along well enough, but Vash knew that he did not have the same sort of understand and consideration for people that Vash did. Vash was a womanizer too, he would admit that. But Hirako had a tendancy to be downright rude too. But he was a good drinking buddy...

"Yes, beat him int' a bloody pulp...I'll join ya." she replied, sitting up again. Hiyori stared at her empty glass before she started to spin it again. "Jus' him...bein' himself I guess."

Vash frowned. "I'm not really a fan of violence to that degree...but I could talk to him next time he bothers you." Vash wasn't quite sure how you could solve the problem of Hirako Shinji. Shinji was Shinji, and rather set in his ways. But Vash still thought it wouldn't hurt to remind him to be nice to girls like Hiyori, even just every once and a while.

"Well, that's just how he seems to be..." Vash replied. He held up the bottle, silently asking her if she wanted him to fill the little glass she was spinning. "You just can't let people like Shinji get under your skin..." Vash sighed.

"What exactly did he do this time?"
