WHO: Saïx lunaensnared and Kairi memoria_persa WHAT: An meeting arranged to discuss the possibility of becoming roommates WHERE: Main Street, outside of The Cathedral and eventually to Kairi's apartment WHEN: After 3pm, Thursday
Kairi would admit it--she rushed. She was always the type to be on time, since she knew how some men were about being punctual these days. And she just never was one for making others mad. Not on purpose anyway.
Bangles jangling softly as she reached up to brush some of her red hair from her face, she spotted a lone figure standing in front of the Cathedral, and she assumed it was whom she was meeting with. He looked interesting enough from a distance, and she was sure he'd get even more interesting as she got closer.
And he was. She noticed the X-shaped scar on his face and vaguely wondered how that happened. It didn't matter though, since it wasn't any of her business. And his hair color... well, she had seen her fair share of strange hair colors, so Kairi wasn't new to that.
Stepping up in front of him, she smiled and held out her hand. "You're the one looking for a place to stay, right? I'm Kairi, the one that's offering."
Small and young, this was the woma- gir- ...young woman who had offered him a place to stay? He watched her carefully for a moment offering a small nod at her introduction. Briefly Saïx wondered if there was something more to her. She certainly didn't seem to be more then what she appeared but in these times young women were some of the most dangerous and well concealed weapons to encounter
( ... )
Flexing her hand a little from his grip and letting her hand fall back to her side, she wasn't at all surprised that he didn't smile. He didn't seem like the type to smile anyway, from the looks of it and--
Wait, wait, what? He actually thought she wanted something from him? That assumption made Kairi wonder even more about him, like what kind of life he lead before now. Her smile fading a little, she shook her head.
"It's nice to meet you, Saïx, but you don't need to worry about anything like that." Kairi let her smile come back before she spoke again. "The only thing I ask for is someone to talk to other than myself and Neffe."
Turning around, she nodded her head in the direction she had come in, murmuring a 'this way' before starting to walk. "And like I mentioned, I'll provide food and whatnot until you can pay for your own things."
"Conversation?" An odd request. Was she a genetically altered old woman? Still wary of the young woman he wouldn't question her intentions outright. For now he would watch her, closely.
"Of course." Though he doubted her, he would agree for the moment. Saïx was far more interested in finalizing his new living arrangements then solving the mystery of why she was so insistent she wanted nothing in return and talked to her cat.
With a soft grunt he pulled the worn scarf away from his neck. It was hardly chilly enough to warrant wearing one but traveling so light often meant wearing everything you owned. So while he was hardly uncomfortable he was a little more heavily dressed then the season called for. The travel was evident in dust and wear in everything, even his cap that had rested idly in his hand now being returned to his head as the pair stepped out from the shade of the cathedral.
