Hey was right. No matter how many times he'd seen Teddy half-dressed, the sight would never stop making him get a little flustered. Already, he could sense the beginnings of butterflies in his stomach, half-wondering if that feeling would ever grow old. He couldn't imagine what Teddy could ever really want with shape-shifting powers-- he was nearly perfect as he was, anyways. Perfect enough that sometimes Billy wanted to put a paper bag on Teddy's head and not let anyone else look at him.

He recognized his boyfriend's gesture from dozens of times before; so many times, in fact, that he'd lost count, even though he still noticed it ever single time. What, between packed subway rides and elevators that always seemed just a little too small, tiny glances over the shoulder while the two stripped their sweaty clothes off after soccer. "I should start charging people for the show," Billy answered, wryness lingering in his tone, though contentedness smoothed his voice out, making it softer and warmer. There was a small hint of a smile at the corners of his mouth, making his words less of the usual reprimand or snarky come-back and maybe more of a tease. "That would definitely take care of the rent."
