WHO: Red X (crimson_rogue_x) and Kairi Russo (memoria_persa) WHAT: Lunch and chatting WHERE: Cafe at the corner of Via Brindisi and Viale Italia WHEN: Noon, Friday
Kairi made her way down Via Brindisi, smiling when she saw where this street and Viale Italia met. She hadn't really done much to her usual wardrobe for this, just her usual short skirt and tank top with a belt looped across her hip and tons of bracelets--after all, wasn't this meeting just a way for her to find a better job?
Not that she really would've really minded doing the dancing. Kairi had talked over the possibility of her taking that up with her friend Sora, and he had said it was more respectable and less dangerous to her own, but that he still didn't like it. Maybe, if she was lucky, that was all she had to stick to. Going the step further wouldn't be necessary unless she somehow ended up with someone else to feed or had some sort of debt to pay off.
But that didn't need to be thought about yet. All she had to do right now was take care of a cat and any veterinary bills she'd have to pay. Hopefully, that'd be it, unless the rates for her other bills (like her phone) went up. Then she'd be screwed and have to go the next
( ... )
Breaking out of his reverie as he noticed a girl who seemed a little, well, out of place walk in, X smiled a little as he realized it was Kairi, and that she looked even prettier in person-- especially her eyes. Standing and brushing a few strands of his messy black hair out of his eyes, the short (still just 5'4", dammit), slender 18-year-old extended a slightly roguish smile to the girl.
"Kairi Russo, right? Aloysius Di Luca. Though you can call me any nickname you want. Or, well, almost any nickname."
'Runt' being one he had particular loathing for, given how often the brainless bullies in the guilds had called him that. But she didn't need to know about that.
"Have a seat. Haven't ordered yet-- wouldn't be polite to start before the lady."
[OOC: Totally fine. I've been a bit busy the past few days myself. I would have IMed you with a link, but I never see you on... Masterlicious, though, right?]
Kairi smiled when he greeted her (and vaguely took note of the height difference, but really, what was two inches difference?), taking the hand he offered and shaking it. "Yes, I'm Kairi," she replied, though, at the bit about the nickname, she shook her head, still smiling. "What nickname would you like me to call you?" After all, she couldn't just go around calling him anything right?
Sitting down in the empty chair, she couldn't help the smile that stayed on her lips. He was polite, a trait she definitely liked, friend or otherwise. "You really didn't have to wait, you know," Kairi said sweetly, playing with a bit of the hair that was hanging down from her messily put up bun. Oh the joys of those types of hairstyles--casual, but still good-looking. "I wouldn't have minded at all."
