Elena would most assuredly have at least one guest. Tseng told her that he wouldn't miss this little gathering and he is a man of his word. He had remained to oversee the workers as they finished up the painting earlier in the day. Then he'd gone home to freshen up before making his way back to their office.

Again he opened the door without knocking. But maybe he should have. Tseng pulled his head back just as the dart went whizzing past and hit the dartboard perfectly. He calmly looked over at Elena in spite of almost having his eye just put out.

"It seems like you're always aiming something at me." He remarked while closing the door behind him. His hand slipped down to try and lock the door. Obviously he would be just fine with having no more guests.

Lulu arrived at the Turk's headquarters, as per invitation, hoping that she had the right address as she made her way around to the office attatched to the warehouse.

It seemed to match the description. It seemed quiet though. Then again she supposed it could be worse things. Knocking on the office door, she waited politely for an answer.

It went without saying that Reno was running late-- or rather, he was leisurely being late.

He knew he'd mentioned that he'd be attending the anniversary party, but something had come up beforehand, delaying him by fifteen minutes or so. That something was furry and slobbered a lot. Her name was officially Peanut, and she was the Rottweiler-Husky mix puppy that was currently being left with Rude to deal with while Reno skipped off to the party.

He arrived at Turk Headquarters to find two things: one, the door was unexpectedly locked. He couldn't help but feel a little like a guy locked out of his own house or car-- it was a little annoying, and just not right. Two, there was a rather curvy woman he didn't recognize by face standing outside as well, apparently facing the same dilemma.

The redhead blinked and gave a rather blunt greeting at length, "Do I know you?"

Elena's eyes widened when Tseng appeared after the dart took flight. Good thing he had quick reflexes! "Sorry..." At least this time was an accident. There was a blink before she offered the carton of noodles to him. "Want some Sir?" She missed the subtle door-locking -- but not the knock on it.

There was a brief look of confusion on her face. Reno never knocked. She got up from her chair, cautiously peeking out to spot Lulu and then the redhead.

"You're late!" Elena opened the door and reached out for the other Turk's sleeve. She couldn't scold him too much though. At least he had made it before the extra ten minutes was up. Her eyes went from one to the other curiously. "Oh." She must've realized who the waiting woman was. The door opened wider in an invitation to come in. In the meantime Elena was checking the lock on the door. "Guess we should have it replaced..."

Tseng sighed under his breath when someone arrived shortly after and knocked on the door. Suppose he's lucky that Reno didn't just kick it down. He's surprised he didn't.

He turned and watched Elena open the door for them. His expression remained even as he watched her scold him. It was obvious she didn't mean it.

His almond eyes slid past them to the woman. Tseng for one recognized her and he brightened considerably to see her arriving with Reno. "Miss Lulu." He approached and offered a hand to her in greeting. "What a surprise. I'm glad you could make it." See this? This is his happy face. :)

Reno hardly glanced Lulu's way as he absently accepted the light, putting his cigarette into his mouth and leaning forward, but directly a purely poisonous gaze Tseng's way. As he settled back against the couch, his eyes didn't waver, the mako-blaze of them blatantly annoyed, even from under half-lowered lashes. He took a drag of his cigarette, letting it out in leisurely curls of smoke from between parted lips as he spoke.

"Yeah, if you kissed me, I figure I would be kinda green," he answered in that lazy drawl, his voice deceptively nonchalant-- the challenging look had shifted from Lulu to Tseng, and it was harder now, infinitely less playful. He obviously neither appreciated the other's sharp tongue-- a rival for his own-- nor the handling of his partner. "Don't know how many fuckin' wives that mouth has been on ( ... )

Elena watched Tseng in a sort of stunned silence. Her eyes flickered from her own fingers to his face, settling there. Blame it on her youth, but her first impulse was to reach back with her other hand, grab a handful of cake, and smash it right into his face. Her second urge? To start telling the older man off. Truthfully she was getting a little tired of his near-constant barbs at Reno. And when he starts treating her like a child? That's the final straw ( ... )

It was only by a fraction that Tseng's eye widened but that was enough to convey his surprise. He had never expected her to speak to him that way. It was enough to make him have second thoughts. Even if he was able to take the girl from the fight he might never be able to take the fight from the girl.

The Asian man turned his head just enough to follow her with his eyes as she went over and demanded a spot next to Reno. Did she honestly believe her own words? He didn't believe Reno could kick his ass and found it hard to believe that Elena thought it to be true. It was more that she wanted it to be true. Reno would be the victor if she had her way. And Tseng was too used to having his.

There was a narrowing of his eyes when she went on to mention blowing up things in Hong Kong. His things. He wondered how innocent she was in bringing that up in front of him. Elena seemed to have a habit of speaking without thinking. But she'd also displayed impressive guts ( ... )

"Oh, I'll bet you're one hell of a partner in crime," Lulu demurred to Reno as Elena came over and claimed a seat. She could also tell he was suspicious of her involvement with Tseng, even as little as it was, but it was too late to start paying and special attention to the other man in the room now.

So she switched tactics. If Reno did't want her attention, even if they had been planning a date of sorts, then she would turn it into girl-talk with Elena nd ignore the redhead.

"You're right, the Chinese cuisine here just isn't quite the same," she remarked to to blond woman. "It must be nice travelling for work. Maybe you can tell me a little bit about it while these two finish hosing down the decks with testosterone?"

Although she had no doubt that Elena could lay the smack down right along with them--she'd had just about enough of the pissing contest.

Reno, on the other hand, was pointedly unapologetic, even when Elena glanced his way. He had a policy of rarely regretting anything, especially if it involved some smart-ass comment coming from his entirely too generous mouth. If he had even considered being sorry at all, the feeling was promptly squished by his irritation with Tseng.

The redhead was starting to get exasperated with this 'checkbook solves all' method. Sure, he was rich, and sure, that was a nice and comfortable thing, wasn't it? But occasionally Reno though someone ought to take that checkbook and shove it up where the stick already was. The checkbook was not an almighty tool, and Reno being stubbornly around was proof of it ( ... )

Elena wouldn't completely disagree with Reno's opinion about the checkbook. If money had been her only priority, or even the top one, she would've just stayed home. She certainly wouldn't have entered into this life. But there were other things that mattered to her. Mattered more than a comfortable life ( ... )

In hindsight it's easy to see how his words could be taken the wrong way. But for once he wasn't trying to be deliberately sharp-tongued. For one he had no reason to bicker with Rude. And for another that was more his and Reno's special bond.

"How right you are about assumptions." Tseng agreed. He turned his head towards Elena for a few last words while Lulu and Rude were exchanging introductions. "First thing in the morning." And with that he stood up.

"If you'll excuse me I believe I'll see myself out now. Please enjoy yourselves." He bows his head before heading towards the door. Party games with an excess of drinking aren't something he can see himself taking part in.

Lulu clasped Rude's hand warmly, her smile unfaltering, though it was a little hard to read the man's expression. At least he didn't seem put off by her. That was a good sign.

She let her hand fall gracefully back to her lap, looking up as Tseng excuse himself at Reno's suggestion of a drinking game, and glancing questioningly at the other three Turks.

"I don't suppose they'll let us bow out gracefully, will they?" she said to Elena, arching a brow at Reno in feigned indifference, "Girls against the boys?"

At Rude's nod, Lulu rested a hand on the man's shoulder, shaking the can upside down as she moved to stand behind him--poised and ready to strike. She'd noted the darkening of his expression, though not at her, and she could just imagine...the hell these two must give eachother ( ... )

"..." It was like watching a carwreck -- no matter how bad it was, Elena just couldn't look away. She barely even blinked as Lulu applied the whipped cream to Rude's head. She kept thinking that any second now, one of them would back out. A hand slapped over her mouth when Lulu started licking him clean. And that's how she remained until it was over. Suppressing any words or sounds; wide-eyed and unblinking; and blushing slightly.

"Huh? Oh." Elena lowered her hand slowly and finally blinked a few times. "His time's coming." She shot the redhead a look. Rude just might kill him. Or thank him. She's not sure which.

"Truth." She shrugged, choosing that option easily. Most of her secrets don't stay secrets for long anyway.

The funny thing was, Reno and Rude lived in a quirky sort of harmony, walking the line of an intimate and long-lasting friendship with surprisingly little trouble. And even though they were likely going to attempt to continue the vicious cycle of Truth or Dare vengeance, by the time they got back to the apartment, things would be at their usual balance again. Reno couldn't remember a time, even with his violent temper, that he'd ever stayed annoyed at Rude.

The redhead easily caught the can in both hands. He sprayed a little onto the tip of his index finger before lifting it to his mouth, savoring the pure sugar taste before setting the can of whipped cream beside him. A touch of jealousy curled leisurely in his stomach when Lulu began, but it wasn't unexpected-- a natural reaction, because Reno knew he'd come to think of his baby as well... His. Because it was Rude and Reno, Reno and Rude. For all their differences, they might as well have been brothers, born attached at the hip.

Not to mention, as an after thought, he was the one ( ... )

Rude didn't move a muscle while Lulu sprayed the whipped cream on his head and licked it off. Each stroke of her tongue made the sensation better and better, but he couldn't forget they had an audience and he grit his jaw in an effort to ignore what Lulu was doing. He was endlessly grateful for his sunglasses, but they didn't help him at all when Lulu came around to the front and leaned over to lick off the last bit of whipped cream. Suddenly, those beautiful breasts were directly in front of his face and it took will power to keep himself from just burying his face between them.

He was relieved when Lulu pulled away, but he was so distracted that he completely missed how the game was progressing. He shot Reno an unfathomable stare before he pushed himself up from the floor.

"...I need a drink."
