Nagi wouldn't care a whit about White Anemone or who was distributing or how or why... except that the heads of Vescovo cared. Thus, Nagi was intent on discovering all he could and then proving his loyalty to Vescovo yet again.
That way, he wouldn't have to listen to the lessers - the idiots.
Tieria was one such non-lesser Vescovo, someone that Nagi actually didn't cringe at the thought of speaking to. Of course, not really 'speaking' out loud - it was what others told him was 'telepathy'. In fact, Nagi had hated 'speaking' to Tieria at first - so few people had as active brains as Tieria's that it was actually difficult to find just the right spot to insert the thought, almost like blindly trying to put a letter in a mailbox slot.
So, Nagi walked up to the door of Tieria's office and knocked first, but sent his thoughts forward regardless, seeking out the familiar mind.
Tieria didn't start at the knock on his door, nor at the mental touch. He did, however, do as he normally did when dealing with Nagi, and reply aloud, "Come in, Nagi." He shuffled his notes into some sort of order and turned his chair to face more towards the door.
After opening and closing the door behind him, Nagi walked over and stood before Tieria. Straight to the point, then.
'Head Consigliere Kristoph wishes me to inspect the south ghettos where Mr. Sogyo's tea business is, in search of the new drug we believe was launched by the Monacello. Do you have any other information for me before I head out?'
Tieria tapped his chin with a shoulder. "Not off the top of my head." He peered over his glasses at Nagi. "Would you mind if I accompanied you? I would greatly like to see the impact of this new drug, and gather information myself." He quickly gathered a small, journalist's notebook, and stood. "I'm awaiting a call from a possible source, as well, so depending on when that is received, I may be of more assistance than I had thought."
