Yamamoto prepared a ton of sushi for tonight, putting it in a large case in the fridge, figuring that he wouldn't allow his friend to starve. Either way, he knew they had a lot to talk about and having something to share would be a nice way to break the conversation up a bit.

Hearing someone walk in, the dark haired man provided a warm smile, and noticed it was Dino. After all, it was after hours and Yamamoto was cleaning up so he could talk with the other. The smile faded a bit and he couldn't help but stare in shock, actually seeing his friend. Sure, they had discussed things over briefly, affirming that Dino was alive (and all his suspicions of his friend being as such).

Walking over to the blond, he almost didn't want to believe what he was seeing, so he pinched himself. It was nice that he didn't wake up. Yamamoto gave him a big smile, obviously relieved by the fact that this wasn't a dream or a game.

"Welcome Home, Dino."

Setting his bag down and smiling a little hesitantly at first, Dino took a step forward and reached out grabbing the black haired mans shoulder pulling him into a hug. "Thanks. I'm sorry for the trouble I've caused you for these years that you thought I was..." Dino trailed off, That you thought I was dead.

The sentence didn't need to be finished. Dino had done more than enough damage by not staying by Yamamoto like a friend should. "Sorry." He murmered rubbing the back of his neck a little awkwardly.

The others presence and scent served to be a great relaxant for him. Because Yamamoto was around and was still his friend he knew instinctively that everything was going to be okay. "OH! There is someone who wants to say hello."

Rummaging around in his pockets he pulled out a small turtle and grinned, "Enzio decided that he missed you too much and of course if I am staying here...He will be too." Enzio opened and shut his mouth a few times which could be taken as a greeting.

After returning the hug, Yamamoto smiled and took the other's bag, pulling it over to rest at the stairs. After all, Dino didn't need to carry his bag, he was a friend and a guest. Returning, the other didn't mention those times that he wondered if his friend was really dead. After all, it seemed to weird that they found no body...and the message from the person just didn't seem right...

"No more sorry around here," Yamamoto said sternly, but with a grin, "You are a friend, and if I said it was trouble, any of the things that have happened, I would be a terrible person and friend."

Laughing happily at the turtle, he pet Enzio on the top of the head, pulling off his headband that he worked in.

"Enzio! I missed you too, little guy!" Yamamoto said, before he hurried off to get the food and drinks he prepared. It was good to make Dino feel like he was home again.

"What do you want to drink, anything in particular?"

"Fine, fine." Yamamoto was always the one to treat Dino like family. He didn't try to praise him, he didn't expect to little or too much. It was refreshing to see him and hear his voice...Even if it was just this night, Dino would have been happy if he had died the next day.

"Nothing in particular. Just a green tea or some water would do." Looking around the shop he sat down in the nearest seat and looked to Yamamoto as he brought out the food. Placing Enzio back in his jacket pocket he just smiled...

Something in his stomach turned, in turn making him almost giddy to be seeing his old friend. Dino couldn't deny that he held Yamamoto in high esteem...Enough even if they were good friends he still always used his last name.

Yamamoto hurried to get together some hot green tea, bringing over the trays (and big trays they were) of sushi. Placing it down, he hurried back for the tea and smiled greatly, when it was done. It was really nice to see his friend again, and he really was happy.

It was like old times, when Yamamoto would try out sushi recipes on Dino, and even though so much at happened, Yamamoto couldn't help but think that things really didn't change. After all, he really did care a lot about his friend.

"I hope you like it, it's some of my best salmon and tuna." He said, with a gentle smile, pouring them each some tea before he sat down. Yamamoto's smile faded a bit when he looked at Dino.

"So what is going on..."

Seeing the smile fade somewhat sent a pang of guilt through Dino. It really did hurt him. I didn't realize I was doing so much harm. "It's a long story...Not a very good one at that," He warned his friend as he picked up a piece of sushi and munched on it thoughtfully.

Getting out the soy sauce and a small bowl and adding Wasabi Dino put another piece of sushi in it to soak up the juice. "So where do you want me to begin, I am sure you have more than enough questions for me...That way it helps me get my mind back in focus for this story."

Dino wasn't purposely trying to stall. He really wasn't...But, he didn't know how much the other really did know about.

Yamamoto leaned back and thought about the first thing he really wanted to ask. Really, he was just there to listen, because this situation was nothing that he could ask about. Tilting his head, he said with his face completely serious.

"Why did you go and hide? I could have helped you." Yamamoto said.

That's all he really wanted to know.

"Helped me? You would have been drawn into everything that I wanted to protect you from." Dino was a lot of things, but one of those was not a liar. When he could help it at least.

"Honestly. I didn't want you to join any side to this mafia struggle, and I was afraid, that like Hibari you would have been drawn in. I almost couldn't protect him from everything either." Dino's shoulders shrunk as he looked a little at a loss for words.

"You have a good life here."

Yamamoto shook his head, taking one of the sushi and popped it into his mouth. Pointing to Dino, his face was completely serious still, and that was rare for Yamamoto.

"I am at a neutral standpoint with the mafia, sure, but I would do anything to help you because you are my friend, Dino. I don't know how many times I'm going to have to say it."

He smiled a bit, and looked at the store.

"I have a good life, sure, but that never stopped me from trying to figured out the truth about what happened to you....if you really..."

Yamamoto found he couldn't look Dino in the eyes at this point.

Reaching out he gently grabbed Yamamoto's chin. "Hey...Look at me. I did something horrible. I know I did...But at the time I was told that I was doing the right thing. I was very upset that it seemed to be the only thing I could do to protect the one person whose EVER mattered."

Sure, Hibari was there with him and he was very happpy to be there with Kyoya but Yamamoto was just his best friend. "Takeshi...Yamamoto...Sorry."
