As far as Kei was concernced, the party was going pretty well. His boss had wandered off with some young man a while ago. Before she left she told her maid to have a good time. Well, as good a time as he could between turning down men who had one too many drinks.

Kei sighed and went back to sipping his beverage. He was sort of hoping that his friend would be here. Other than those two lunch dates he hadn't seen Sawaki. Then again, it was a busy time for those in the alcohol business, so of course the other would be busy with that. Still, Kei had hope...

Kei blinked, trying to figure out why his head felt lighter than it did.. nothing like the lightness from the kiss. Lightness as in... Oh shit, he thought. Maybe he won't... As if his plea was unheard by any diety listening, Sawaki jumped back and stared at him like he had grown another head.

The dark-haired man stood frozen in place, looking down at the broken beer bottle. His mind was racing to come up with some sort of explination.. but instead remained blank. After a few seconds he looked up at his friend. "Tadayasu," he pleaded. "I-I can explain..."

Gipo stood and watched what was playing out in front of him. this had the potential to get very interesting.

Midnight's cheers were leveling off and Sawaki and Kei were causing a scene. He clutched the wig in his hand and looked at his best friend...His face was covered in makeup, curves added by subtle manipulation of a long black dress. Were those...colored contacts?
It was too much. The room began to swim in Sawaki's vision and his stomach churned. He wavered and stepped back. He had to get away get to think cry or yell or bleed or something anything...Before he could faint on his face, he turned tail and shoved his small frame through the crowd, bumping into Gipo as he did so, still clutching the wig...

"Wait.. Tadayasu!" But he was gone. The person he loved and cared about, the one who had been on his mind since he came to this city, gone. He knew Kei's secret and he turned and ran the other way. He didn't want anything to do with him.

But he still had to explain himself, even if the other wouldn't listen. Maybe if he explained he wouldn't hate him for lying. He pushed after him, appologizing to the man that Sawaki had bumped and rushing out the door. But he couldn't see where his friend had gone.

"Tadayasu... I'm sorry," he whispered, wrapping his arms around his middle.

The sadness that he saw in these two young people saddened Gipo. Their relationship was not something he could interfere in however so he watched them. The second even struggled for a while with what he wanted to do. Empathy for their dilema filled Gipo as he watched the second change his mind and follow the first who'd fled from the room.

Sawaki turned towards the source of the glomp. He squirmed and pushed against Kei's ribs. The force of that extension pushed gloved hands apart, caused him to stumble back.
"How could you..." Make me worry like that do you have any idea how many nights I lay awake wondering where you were how could you do that to my caring... Pause. Huff. Then with finality:

"I don't want to see you again." ...'cause you cause to many conflicts in me, too much roiling unsettledness in the pit of my stomach like a vat of Oryzae breaking down sugars too many thoughts and feelings I had for that version of you how could I explain this father would kill me go away go away GO AWAY!

Microbes chirped in concern as Sawaki stalked away.

[OOC: Gipo could advise Sawaki on the network, maybe recognizing him from the brew or from a buisiness card]
