That laugh of his seemed more frightening to him in this situation. Other times he'd just ignore it. But now. It made him shiver in his bones. Greed inhaled sharply as he came closer with that fucking skull. The idea of being cut open by Envy, and actually bleeding... never healing from it... it was something he didn't want to experience. It was one of his worse fears, to feel weak.

He tried to pull his head away from his hands but soon felt the stone cold cheek bone of his former self against his own. His head pounded. His face was perspiring; a thin layer of sweat developing on his face. But he soon smiled, his lips twitching into a strained grin.

"You finally expose your real face, huh?" he almost spat at his older brother, stealing a glance at the skull beside him before directing his gaze back up. "Heh......You look a lot like your half brothers... You probably look just like your father, seeing as old you were when you fucking died."

Envy smiled, a really beautiful smile.

"I thought it might be a nice parting gift, beloved, since you've been so very curious," he answered, surprisingly unoffended by the mention of his father, or how much he looked like his father's son. No, this victory was too sweet to be ruined by that little barb. "I hope you like this face, because it's the last one you're going to see for a long, long time."

He stood, tossing blond curls over his shoulder. "How does it feel, to be so pathetically weak you can barely stand?" Mockery dripped from his voice. He lifted one foot, nudging Greed lightly in the side with it, as if trying to push him over, testing how much pressure it would take to topple the weakened sin.

"Payback's a bitch, isn't it, dear?"

Greed glared hard at his other brother, mocking him. He lowered his gaze before he felt his foot nudge his side, which caused him to fall back on his bottom with a small grunt. He growled deep in his throat before he pushed back the weakness he could, despite how much his bones were screaming in pain. He gave out a shout of anger and lunged at him, hands reaching for that precious neck of his to strangle.

His anger was boiling in his blood. His body pleaded for him not to try, but his mind demanded he take this guy out, no matter what it took. It was just a small burst of energy he had left, and he would try to make it worth it.

It was almost too easy-- taking candy from a fucking baby. Envy sidestepped Greed's lunge with two light steps, swinging a leg up and around to bring it down to make crushing contact with his so-called brother's spine. The sound of that heavy body solidly meeting the ground sent a thrill through Envy's veins. He bared his teeth in a smile, resting his foot at the base of Greed's neck.

"Oh, you are fiesty, brother," he sneered, "But let's be fucking reasonable. You can't win. So why don't you just lay down and rot peacefully, like a good dog

Pain. So much pain. Shaking through his body as he laid there on the floor, trembling from the after shock of the inflicted pain. He tried to move his legs... But his legs. Would not. Move. Greed's eyes widened as he pushed himself up with his arms but his legs still didn't react to the commands given to them by his brain.

Paralyzed from the waist down.

Greed shouted out in frustration as he looked over his shoulder at Envy. "YOU BASTARD!" His arms shook and gave out from under him. It was all too much. This... this is what humans felt? Vulnerable. Weak even? They seemed to have so much confidence. But coming face to face with a monster. He now saw it from their point of view. Then again, he only beat up humans who deserved it.

He would get back at Envy... somehow.
