However...in the past, my usual method of dealing with angry men has been "speak softly, and know where to kick." A soft answer turneth away wrath, and all that.
Lock him in a room with a TV set to play nothing but infomercials and refuse to let him out until you're positive that the very sight of you will fill him with nothing but joy and utmost gratitude for the rest of eternity.
Being as I don't have a boss, really just the ma'am or sir that hires me, I generally let them screw my brains out. Or oral. Oral really very rarely fails.
