So I've been working on my 2009 NaNoWriMo novel in an attempt to finish it before this November. I'm doing pretty well but I've sort of hit a bit of a block and I wanted to ask for opinions. So spoilers for Tycho and Frank's story behind the cut (up through what's been written and some potential future plot stuff but not much), and hopefully

Hmm, I don't think it's necessarily bad to end the current story on sexytiemz, but it really depends how you want to keep the content I suppose, if it's best to keep it PG and do that as an extra bit then I think it'd have a satisfying ending if there was some king of sweet relationship culmination, even if it's not a physical one

You make very good points. More than just that one of course, but that's the one that gave me the "oh hey yeah!" moment. XD

You're right that there really wouldn't be a point to have Frank dealing with sexual feelings if I'm not going to have that in the story. It was my original intent to have it in there, so I think I probably will. If nothing else I can put a "clean" version on dA and put the uncut one here or something. I don't think that's against their rules. (Really I have smut on my account already, but I'm always worried I'll get in trouble for it.)

I think I'm kind of afraid that this story is just going to end up going on and on and take forever to wrap up, and people want me just to hurry up and end the damn thing. >_>

I don't think a sex scene would be a problem really, it just depends on the way you deal with it, whether you want to go into detail with it or keep it a bit more suggestive.
I think DA is pretty lenient so long as it doesn't just read like porn, honestly I'm not sure what the guidelines are, but I think you can probably get away with it, I doubt anything with Frank and Tycho is going to be raunchy and porn-like anyway. XD

I think it's approaching a good length at the moment, I think a few more chapters would be fine, but it feels like it's leading up to something at the moment, so as long as you don't drag it out for 10 more chapters leading it to that point I think it'll be fine just doing a few more than that. How much longer do you think you need to cover the stuff you want to include?
If there's heaps more content you could always do it as extra little things later on? or even a follow-up book?
