I will miss you external

RIP External Hard drive. You lasted a year and served me well. I should have known you were on the fritz when I had to position the plugs a certain way. Luckily I already have your replacement. Unfortunately this means my weekend is going to be spent searching for links to all the things I already downloaded. Not cool.

It's always for the best to do it before something goes wrong. I say this yet I'm the one who waits until something goes wrong to do it.

You just reminded me of my friend who has had 2 computers die during the course of her dissertation and yet her backup habits . . . unchanged *__*

You're talking to the girl who had fifteen hard drives, three laptops, and five chargers die on her in her first year of college and still doesn't back shit up. Luckily I had understanding teachers, and people at tech support who would back me up that there was no way to get the information off of the newest hard drive that died and that I should get an extension on my papers.

By the end of the year the people at Tech Support were in shock at how often I came in, and the worst part was they looked it over and there was only one time that I did something to the computer to make it die. Apparently laptops and nail polish remover don't mix.
