If the EU is constantly, sometimes irritatingly, seeking out new ways of making itself relevant it is because it has so successfully completed its original mission: to keep the peace after more than a century of war. An achievement so obvious, that it's pocketed without a thought by all the millions of citizens of this unique organisation.

I'm with you on that one- I've always been more interested in the histories of countries that aren't mine.

Anyways, I am SO EXCITED for you! I stayed in Vienna for a few days before Italy, and I recall it being quite lovely. In most European countries, it feels like everything is so oooooold. I love it. You'll love it to.

P.S. Please to be acquiring a European man for me, if possible. <3
