(This is one of my very favourite poems, thanks to wizened_cynic, who introduced me to it. I want to talk a little bit about it, but not tonight. I ask you guys on my flist to read it, simply because it is so incredible and I want to know what you think. It really is gorgeous. I agree with you in that I identify a lot with the first half. The second half I love because the words and expressions are really gorgeous, especially that last line. My favourite part of the whole poem, though, is in the second part:

Don't go too early.
You're tired. But everyone's tired.

It gives me this real ache inside, in a good way (for the most part).
