(Uh, my obsessive shipper side took over the keyboard for a minute there.)

This was really beautiful and pretty much exactly how I see Cooper. He's so accepting of Violet and the fact that maybe nothing will ever happen between them.

And I really liked this:
She could understand the complexities of human nature, but she couldn’t see what was right in front of her. And she couldn’t understand herself. Wasn’t part of her job to read people?

and this:

It was almost as though she felt it to, but she didn’t know it. It was like she didn’t know what she was feeling herself. There was this certain understanding in her eyes sometimes that was simply too understanding to be nothing.

because it's such a good description of how Violet's been portrayed. Sometimes I think she knows and other times she seems completely blind to it.

Anyway, I really enjoyed this. Thanks for sharing! :)

I loved that. In fact, the entire second paragraph accurately describes Violet in a way that I couldn't have put better myself! I just hope Violet understands sooner rather than later. ;)
