Neil Gaiman is a writing god and I want to bear his babies

Well, no.  At this point in time I don't even want to bear my own babies but he IS incredibly insightful when it comes to the world of writers' minds.  Without dragging himself into every sentence, unlike Stephen King (who is also incredibly insightful when it comes to the world of writers' minds . . . as long as the writer is himself.  I like ( Read more... )

I read King's book, On Writing. What a pompous windbag. I like some of his work, but man, that guy loves himself. I'll have to read the Neil Gaiman piece when its not almost 11pm.

I've read Neil Gaiman's work, I can understand why he is a good writer. He is. But personally not my cup of tea. I guess my type of books have started to get into the supernatural trash section. Laurell K Hamilton for example...lots of sex. Same with charlaine harris or Mary Janice Davidson. But those books make me finish them in day, and not just the sex scene stuff. I have devoured Laurell K Hamilton's Anita Blake Series in a month. It's nuts. That's who's babies I want...or who I would love to write like. Just entertaining books. Not sure where I was going with this, just babbling at this point i think.
