Did you see the video that's streaming in bones's official site? That really is a big scene, BUT I think it was okay that it didn't actually make it to the episode because it was going to rush things up you know? I was worried that maybe with the kiss they ruin the banter between them but I have to give credit to the writers, they did a really nive job.
