*heart breaks* Poor Booth. I love the link between Booth's relationship with his father and his determination that Parker never have to deal with it.

Adored: Maybe it’s all the same: plastic and glass, fathers and sons.

Then again, maybe it’s the monsters that patiently sit inside you, waiting for the moment when you can’t outrun them, that you have to watch out for.

This - even in it's hurt - is just gorgeous. You put me to shame.

Yes! Of course Booth would silently vow that he will never become his father when his son is born. I expect it was also the day (or soon after) that he gave up gambling for good.
