*sigh* Wonderful... This made me smile despite a very bleak time in my life at the moment and that's no small achievement! I am so enjoying this fic. The atmosphere and the characterisation and the almost dream like pace. So bitter-sweet. And the hope.

I'm really glad you like my Al, and I honestly don't think this story would go anywhere without the bittersweetness. The two of them are just so in need of each other right now that they can't help it.

I'm still very much liking this! The pace is, as someone else said, very dreamlike and leisurely. It fits the mature Al you're portraying very well. I will admit that I hadn't expected them to get together so soon.

One thing I'm wondering is how homosexuality is viewed in this version of Amestris. I know some fic authors have it as an accepted sexual orientation and some lean more towards an old-fashioned view that it isn't socially acceptable. I think I'm mainly wondering because I'd anticipated more of an issue with Al coming to terms with his feelings for Roy (not that I'm disappointed!). Then again, if in this version of Amestris homosexuality is considered acceptable, then it would make perfect sense that neither of them would think too hard on it!

All right, taking off my beta hat now... Again, I'm still really enjoying this and look forward to seeing where you take it! :D

I wasn't really expecting for them to get together so soon either, but apparently they can't keep their hands off each other lol.

Ah yes, the issue of homosexuality in this story... Do you have x-ray eyes or something? Are you reading the future chappies through my computer?? lol. The issues will be brought up eventually, and I'm glad you brought up those points here, because they are issues that these two need to think about (and me too).

And of course, I'm glad you are enjoying :) I hope the next part is to everyone's liking too.
