Summary: Jinki's away and Kibum can't seem to sleep without him~
It’s 2:00 am and Kibum was still tossing in bed. He is usually asleep by 11:30 pm. However, he is still awake. Wide awake. Somehow, he felt a little incomplete and perhaps also a little disturbed by HIS absence. Kibum tried all he could from drinking warm milk to reading a book to listening to music and even to counting imaginary sheeps. Neither worked. Five dreaded minutes passed and Kibum have already reached the 279th sheep. “Aish.” He decided to give up.
2:05 am. Being awake set Kibum to thinking naturally. There was only one boy that came into his head. Lee Jinki. Jinki was constantly in Kibum’s head. Well, that’s no surprise. Jinki was Kibum’s boyfriend, his perfect other half. And afterall, he’s the reason why Kibum is suffering from insomnia.
Why must he be sent there? Why? Is he now thinking about me as well? Is he sleeping and eating well? Is he, missing as well? Aish, how am I suppose to live through the next few days without him? Yah, Lee Jinki. Come back already.
These were the thoughts that ran through Kibum’s head. He went on to think of more Jinki. At least those thoughts made him happy. It made time pass, a little faster.
Unknowingly, Kibum was smiling ever so sweetly to himself. With those thoughts, he tried to go back to sleep again.
2:20 am. Kibum opened his eyes again. He still couldn’t sleep. This time round, Kibum decided to send a text to Jinki. He couldn’t resist any longer.
To: Jinki <3
Hyung, how are you doing? Take care of yourself alright. Come back soon. I miss you too much already ): Love you.
Text sent.
2:23 am. Kibum received one text message.
From: Jinki <3
Hi love. I’m doing well. I might be able to get back by 10 pm tomorrow if nothing goes wrong. Go catch some sleep! I don’t want you falling sick! Take care too alright? And I will see you very soon! Love you. More.
Upon seeing the message sent by his lover, Kibum held his phone closely and tightly against his chest.
“ I love you. Lee Jinki.” He whispered and entered slumberland with the sweetest smile one could ever find.
