FUCK. FUCK

WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE? WHERE HAS THIS BEEN ALL MY LIFE?

this is poetry, pure pure poetry!!
the language just destroys me!! the imagery destroys me!!
i just want to weep, weep with the intensity of this.

He watched the way Esca rode his horse and imagined what he would be like in bed.

I HAD TO BITE MY LIP NOT TO MOAN!!

He should not care, not anymore, but Marcus could not restrain the dark, sick knot of suspicion and jealousy when he saw Esca with the prince.

THIS, WOMAN, THIS!! I COULD QUOTE EVERYTHING BECAUSE THERE'S NOTHING I DID NOT LOVE!!

*BLUUUUSH*

I'm glad you liked the imagery because that's how I wrote it, and that's why it's all modular like this. I just had some images in my head and I started to try to write them down, and then... poof? XD

THANK YOUUUU~

This is both amazing and powerful. I'm totally in love with the way you've written this piece. I think it's the best description of Esca I've read in this fandom (which has its share of really talented writers). Such evocative language, nnnggghhh ... it also made me realize, yet again, what I love most about this pairing: that Esca is this free and wild person who will never be put in a cage, slavery or not - but that he goes to Marcus out of his own free will, and binds himself to him because he loves him so much. That is so beautiful it sends shivers down my spine.

I hope that made sense. *shifty eyes*

Anyway, I had your story bookmarked for a long time, and I'm glad I finally caught up with it! <3

That is lovely. I like fics like this that don't follow a straightforward linear structure, and keep you slightly guessing about what's going on.

And your imagery is nicely done - the cold northern landscape and the warmth of their companionship, sometimes threatened and sometimes vulnerable.

Thanks.
