I never heard of Firefly, until someone mentioned it to me. I am just now discovering that Firefly is an amazing show. It’s the small things that flip my switch: how the workings of the word delicately seep in through witty dialog and thoughtful scenery -- not with the over obvious voice-over

I like the multi layered characters. They often do and say some suprising things. They don't seem "realistic" exactly, but they are like good D&D characters. They have lots of personality but clearly have a central role to play in the story.
