No problem, and I'm sure you've read most of these already. I seem to recall seeing your name in loads of the comments while compiling :)

Believe it or not, but I've never known about GoogleBooks *amazed*. It's pretty neat!
What is your paper for? I'm currently working at one (well, actually, staring at the Word-Doc ;)) for a seminar in linguistics.

Being a student is so much fun sometimes o.O
Dude! You can say that again ;)!

Hehe, it certainly is. Especially if you look for something in an 300-pages book and just put up a query and it automatically skips to the parts that are relevant.

LOL, it's oddly comforting to know you're faced with the same problems^^ Even the subject is close. What are you studying and where, if I may ask :)
Said paper is for an 18th/19th century English seminar and I really need the Schein ;)

Wow, that is really... fantastic. Must find a reason to use it.

and I really need the Schein
Oh, don't we all?? Le sigh.
It's actually not a tough paper to do but it's so... so annoying. I really could have done this weeks ago. As usual ;).

I study linguistics (Allgemeine Sprachwissenschaft), english ;) and italian. Magister and in Münster ;) What about you? I'm - sigh - in my 11th semester. Hopefully I'll start with my Magister-paper soon.

I like searching random stuff Well, how about something Supernatural related such as the Lesser Key of Solomon? It's an incomplete preview though, but it has nice illustrations^^

*laughs* Exactly! Everytime, I tell myself I just have to sit down and get started but then I think I still have 20 days left to do it and *bits fist* It's no use, seriously.

Oh cool, do you know a potential subject for your Magister paper already? There depends so much on that being well chosen *is scared*
I'm right with you on ASW and English (7th semester in April), though I have to pass Italien (beautiful language though). My second minor is Phonetics which, as rediculously as it sounds, I probably like the most o.O

He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother?

Sorry to butt in, but that sounds like a shout out to that movie I once saw about two orphans who wanted to go to Omah and escaped from the orphanage and that was the last line in the film... ^^

I remember hearing about the google books thingy a while ago, but I completely forgot about it. I usually just download them from somewhere when I need a book for a project and it isn't available on the library. I think they take requests for new books too, but they take like forever, and as you said, by the time you get them it's likely too late :P

And so many recs! Good thing it's a weekend, I'm gonna need some time to browse though them, the off-site seems a great source of fics too, wow! *whises she was so organized* I usually bookmark them in the chaos of my favourites folder -_-

The thing is that the kind of books I need rarely are available at book stores much less online. Google books made me very happy this morning though.
Where do you get your book downloads from if I may ask?

LOL, my bookmarks looked really messy too, that's why they need cleaning out every once in a while or I lose the little control I think I still have left^^

Anyway, have fun browsing through some of those fics, they rock!

I usually download them with emule, a P2P program really popular in Spain ( I guess in Europe?) You'd be surprised as to what people actually rip and share on there. I've found specific books on electronics and rare software manuals I needed for my papers on there while I was waiting and beggin the library lady to FREAKIN CALL my cell phone when the book was returned cause I always missed it. I was very stressed :P

The thing with my bookmars is that... it's so big that I actually dread sorting them cause it's going to get messy (haha) so I say... tomorrow... and tomorrow the list is even bigger and so on and so on.... lazyness is so bad...

Ah, I know emule though I don't use it. Glad you found the stuff you were looking for, libraries really tend to leave one hanging

LOL, I know the tomorrow part, I've been telling myself the same about my paper for the past two weeks *gulps* I really need to make that today, or better, yesterday O.O
