Man, the homeless in this city... The other night, I was shopping for food at Jewel (a local supermarket) and a homeless guy approached me while I was looking at meat. I mean, kripes! That's the pattern my life follows. Sort of like playing the lottery for years and never winning. You play again, and even as you buy the ticket, you know you'll lose.

Most likely, this will be the first and last time I see her, but I will make the most of it.

Think positive, dude. Don't set yourself up for failure. Anticipate things she will enjoy, show her the best possible time, and for gods sake don't groan about how much your life sucks or how women never take to you.

Heh, yeah I've done enough groaning. Actually, I just got back. It went as well as can be expected, but there weren't any sparks in the air. We may be friends, but there's no momentum for a relationship.

By the way, "The Machinist" was a good movie. Very deep and melancholic.

I'm really sorry about Saturday. I blame my lack of brains, and rudeness, due to the fact that I only had 1/2 hour of sleep. I hope you don't hate me!

I'm thinking of coming back to Chicago during my winter break, hopefully we can meet up then :)
