Ribbon-dyeing day and blather

I am so not in the mood to do this. This means totally clearing off my kitchen counter and the little table there and leaving it clear (and covered with waxed paper and paper towels) for at least four or five days. It's not easy preparing food when dye and dye jars and dye pots are everywhere. It's pretty impossible. I knew the ribbon was
