Well, let's cross our fingers and toes that I don't bugger them up by drilling a wonky hole in them. I cannot believe how many pieces I've ruined by drilling wonky holes.
Also, that H&S soup looks amazing! Would you share your recipe? transversely loooooves H&S soup, and I'll bet it would feel really good on my very sore throat.
It IS amazing, if I do say so myself. I sort of/kind of went by the recipe here: http://www.recipezaar.com/Chinese-Hot-and-Sour-Pork-Soup-198 . I used real eggs rather than an egg substitute. I used flour instead of cornstarch. (I'm not so sure this step is even necessary. I was quite happy with a very liquid-ish soup.) For some reason, some people who reviewed the recipe complained that the amount of garlic/red chile paste was a bit too much. I must have gotten the wrong paste, because mine was way too mild. I added baby corn and, rather than use "regular" sesame oil, I used hot sesame oil. It still wasn't hot enough for me, so I ended up adding some chili flakes.
If you were to see one of the resin pieces up close (and HOPEFULLY, you will soon :) ), you'd not be very impressed. But thank you. All of the weeds and flowers I'm doing are pressed pieces from the summer. There's nothing green growing here now, that's for sure.
Duh - why didn't I think that you would've pressed some from the summer...I think I just liked the idea that you might have some weeds/plants still growing and we don't have many.
Okay... so don't hate me... but I looked at that soup photo and immediately saw a FROG!!! Belly up... it's eyeball staring out... look at the right edge... three o'clock... nose facing down...see it?! OMG! LOL!!!
I think I'll pass on seconds.. i filled up on breadsticks. ;-)
