I always find it intriguing when you meet someone for the first time. When it comes down to it...you see what THEY want you to see. In a sense, they wear a mask that shows only a part of them. Most of the time, (when you spend hours/months and open up to each other) the mask is removed. That's when you get to see the WHOLE person behind the mask... ( Read more... )

Wow. That post is such an accurate description of what I experienced last year that I could have written it myself. I understand the need and desire for masks. I've also come to think of them as facets (like a diamond has). Sometimes all the parts of a person we experience are real. But sooner or later one facet shines brighter than the others (whether it is good or bad) and defines who they are and the kind of relationship you can (or can't) have with them.

diamond facets...that's a good way to put it too... maybe that is a more accurate description...
you and I seem to experience/share such similar actions/thoughts...like we are twins (in some sort of way)
now I REALLY want to get together...(as if i didn't before!)
what kind of schedule do you have?
I would love to get together this week or next...

Days are up in the air. Unless one of my temp agencies finds work for me soon, my days will be free next week.

Tuesday and Friday evening are also free this week. Wednesday evening is open too but I'm holding open until I talk to Nate in case he wants to go to the Vogue again on Wednesday.

Are you free on Tuesday or Friday night?
