First of all, have you seen the Doctor Who episode Blink? If not, go to youtube or isohunt and download it, and you will realize why Gabriel's banner scares the crap out of me.

Also, you're amazing. Just amazing. You have a way with words I wish I had.

I'm curious (assuming they've never met *g*) as to what Gabriel and Smecker would think of/say about one another.

Also, are there ever times when they just won't talk? What do you do if/when that happens?

Is there any situation you can think of which Smecker would be completely unable to deal with? What really scares him?

I tell you this all the time but I just want to say thanks again for the incredible pups you've created (and I know they're not OCs but you've given them such life and made them yours in so many ways, they really are your creations, to my mind at least) and for being such an absolute delight to play with. You're patient with all my waffling and foibles and you constantly amaze me with your ideas and your perspective and your writing, which, in the words of alan_shore, is a joy to read. Just getting to put my boy in with your pups is a treat and I really have a blast writing with you. :)

Heh. I've actually got a fic in the works where Gabe and Paul do meet, which is.... interesting in its way. But in the looser, less realistic meta-space of my head, Gabriel generally feels bad for Paul because so angry and bitter, and Paul generally calls him 'fucking birdbrain' and less complimentary things.

There are. *nods* Gabe's been a lot less talkative mentally for a little while, which is why I've got 4 prompts to do to catch up with him, as opposed to Paul who is current. Generally I just wait them out, or I rewatch their canons, which always helps.

Oh boy. Well, one of the things Paul really craves in his life is structure and order (not that you would ever get him to admit that aloud) and the further he is from a situation where he can impose (or find) that, the more edgy he gets. The twins' father really bothers him, and scares him-- in my old RP we had a scene where he tried to steel himself up to shoot the old bastard, and just couldn't do it. There's possibly some other things that really really get ( ... )
