Last, but you can call me Mac. Pretty much everyone does.

What about you? That a first name, or a last name?

...Alphabet City? I know where that is.

Good to see another native.

Internet is down, unfortunately, save for what seems to be limited to a local network. It's been effective when it comes to reaching out to people so far, though.

Mark. I'm Aya Brea.

S'a pleasure, Aya.

Yeah, I kinda noticed that. Was actually pretty surprised that this intranet was so ... buzzing.

Another Native? Don't tell me the survivors are mostly tourists.

Likewise.

I was surprised, too. Spent most of the first few months camped out in the bomb shelter that was once owned by a paranoid schizophrenic, hellbent that WWIII had broke loose.

Fortunately, no. Some of them are worse than tourists, though.

That's -- a pretty unique experience? Although... I guess at this point I'd probably believe anything. I mean, something out-of-this-world swoops over the city, and I'm gonna question paranoia? Not likely.

So, wait. If they're not locals.. and they're not tourists... What else IS there?

So you're from the area yourself? I've been here since the start, I was hiding up in the Upper West Side until I found someone to help me get down to where people were.

I really didn't realize that there were so many people still here, and arriving all the time...I thought most of the people from Manhattan were gone.

Where have you found safety all this time? Were you down in the Losaida area?

My friends 'n I used to live down on 11th and avenue B. After the first attack, I salvaged what I could from my home on the upper east side, and migrated back here. It's kind of ironic, really, I keep ending up back in this neighborhood.
