Why do you emphasize the "choice" so much? Why should a woman have that right to choose? I'm honestly curious, because to a degree I agree with you that choice is a crucial part of our human nature and the preservation of our democratic state, but something tells me that a more mature understanding of liberal democracy and its application to mankind is needed here. Please, let me know what you mean by this. You can respond on my LJ if that makes this all a lot less cluttered. p.s. did you go to algonquin? And if so do you know Nate Deardorff? Just curious because he's my best friend and the drummer of my band. End.

hahah... all i gotta say that was a funny quiz coming from the poster child of pro-choice. for those who dont believe in pro-choice i just have to ask, have you met dave pacific?
Some of Dave's facts are wrong, but the point of his post is the same, many great people have been born into poverty and done great things for the world, where would the world be if they were aborted...
(This applies to the lives of Dave's father and my father, and therefore to us as well...)
anyway i would like to get back to the main issue at hand. i would like to return to jakes original comment that abortion is murder. now i never necessarily agreed with you when you called it homicide. what this all really comes down to is a question of faith. nobody has yet proven that a fetus within the first tri-mester is indeed human. i know at this point all you pro lifers are shitting a storm at that but first lets ask what makes us human?the obvious answer would be the excistence of the soul right? well the soul is a whole new abstract concept i wont delve too much into at the moment. now with that bieng said how can we determine wheter or not this fetus has a soul yet if theres no scientific method to prove it? i suspect the next rebuddle to that will be how can you prove anybody has a soul? im not here to prove the existence of the soul, although i definietly believe in it.i simply want to pose the question. how can you prove that this fetus, at its early period of deveolopment, is more than just a clump of cells if you have

I would like to impart my wisdom upon the crowd. I do not think abortion is right. I'm not really hardcore pro-life though. I just want to know how come if an unwanted pregnancy occurs then the baby can't be put up for adoption to live a better life? There's a good chance that it was the couple's irresponsibility that got them an unwanted child so they need to own up to their actions. Go through labor, but if you can't support it or don't want it, there are plenty of families that are dying to have children and can't. In the case of a rape, its really unfortunate and i dont blame the mother if she WANTS to have an abortion, i just think the more humane and moral thing to do would be have the baby and then put it up for adoption.
