I'm thinking about renting a car when I'm in town to help with the shuffling back and forth between Holt and Lansing. Does anyone have a recommendation of a cheap place? And how much are people paying in gas these days? Will being 24 instead of 25 really matter that much in the price?

I have no recommendation for a cheap place but you can always check if being a MSU alum will get you anything. Enterprise has pretty good deals for those who are not yet 25. Generally, its like an extra 10 or 20 dollars a day.
