Office Hours, Tuesday

Getting everything set up for class seemed to mostly mean watching the World Cup and trying to figure out why the hell this was more popular than real football. It was just a bunch of running around!

Nothing exciting going on there.

Nevertheless, that was how Guy was spending his afternoon before class.

[[For the TA to be, but open if you wan SP

For a current student, wandering the halls with a basket of cupcakes to pass out to all the new (or new-to-her) teachers (and possibly some favorites among the old ones) would be labeled, in the language of students everywhere, as "Sucking Up."

For somebody who'd already graduated and wasn't in search of college recommendations, it was just... Francine. Whose hair had not been braided by tiny birds this morning, but they had sort of been clustered around her window peeping in as if they had some such thing in mind.

"Hi! I'm Francine, your Fandom High cupcake delivery service representative! Or possibly I just made a lot of cupcakes and felt like sharing."

"...you brought me cupcakes?" Guy asked. But hey, he wasn't about to lift a gift horse in the mouth.

"It's my sworn duty as a superheroine to bring delicious sugary treats to the helpless and ...cupcakeless!" And it had started off so well, like it was actually going to turn into a real quip.

"Interesting super power," Guy replied, eying the treats. "All of 'em? You're too kind."

"Er..." Well. They were supposed to be for, you know. Everyone. But Francine was, you know. A doormat. "I guess?" And then because this place was this place, she thought it might be prudent to add, "I don't really have super-powers. I have a super-suit, but I can't actually do anything in it except be uncomfortable."

Guy snorted in amusement. It was a bit like a much younger Tora...

"Too many capes here anyway. Tell ya what, bring the rest of these," he said, snagging one with a ring construct. "To my class today, got it?"

*uses icon that she will have one chance in ever to use*

"Ooh, cool!"

Which was meant for the shiny greeny light thingy, not bringing the cupcakes to his class instead of the rest of the teachers, but um. Erf. "Er. Which class?"

BUT OOC ICONS!

"Gym, stop by the main campfire." And, you know, be the new TA.

POINT.

If only Francine actually had any superpowers (or any superpowers besides vague, completely uncontrollable psychic flashes that were useful about one out of a thousand times and tended to use imagery like giant jars of preserves for Cartoonist's sake...) she might have picked up on that secret agenda there.

And probably felt too awkward to say no, anyway.

"You're having gym at the campfire? You're not planning on like, having people jump over it or anything, right? I mean I guess that's fine for the kids who can fly and stuff, but I'd sure hate to be a normal kid and miss that jump and end up with my butt on fire. Unless everybody's getting super-suits for gym?"

Francine. Up. Shut it. Seriously.

"You think I should make 'em wear uniforms?" DAMN IT, FRANCINE.

"Would they be fireproof?" Because that could be important if there was campfire jumping, you know.

"Does this school have the budget for that?"

Francine took a moment to consider that. "Probably, but you'd never know it from the uniforms we had to wear when I was in gym class." She hadn't been one of the people bitching about them, but that didn't mean she was blind. Or invulnerable to itches.
