I dunno; I have to say that I didn't really get on with the Bokurano anime. Not that I hated it, but, well, it isn't one of the anime night series I'm keeping track of while I'm out here in Japan. Too much angst, I think, and also the nature of the series is that all the characters go straight from "don't know enough about them to care" to "dead"...

It is of course possible that I'm projecting the character development from the manga onto the anime, thus distorting my opinion. Then again, if gratuitous angst is not your bag then it is, to put it mildly, unlikely ever to be your favourite story...

Have to agree with Peter on this one, general angst + you're going to die anime plots don't do it for me but I'll watch it.
