[1/2] evented plz so she can give in return XDwaterfellDecember 25 2011, 06:08:05 UTC
[Someone's there. Self-preservation sharply honed in the Dark Kingdom where no one slept too lightly if they wanted to wake up, made Ami reach for a sword - not the ice sword of her usual preference, but an ornate and engraved metal sword with symbols of Earth and Water both marked on it.
She sneaks quietly from her bed to the bedroom door, opens it without a sound, and closes her hand tightly around the hilt of her weapon. She raises it to point straight at the intruder and-]
[The sudden release of her caution makes her voice snappish. She's dreamed of Usagi for months now. She's even come to accept it. But what is her sister doing... No, she doesn't need to ask that. The sappy-hearted girl is playing Santa. Obviously.
Of course it's not a joke! Being Santa's helper is a serious job!
[ So she says. Whether or not she really was asked by Santa to help is really not important. What is important is the package that she still has in her hand, held out to her sister. ]
[She's silent a moment, the sword all but forgotten as it's held in a loose grip at her side. She doesn't quite reach out to take it yet, but she nods towards the tree.]
Yours is there.
[It'll prove to be the knitted scarf and mittens she'd been working on earlier in their dream earlier in the month. Ami's eyes move back to the one her sister is holding out, this sister who's never quite seemed to need her with the others around. This sister holding out a gift to her.
[ Ange isn't sure what's going on, really - she's fairly sure these dreams are only getting more and more crazy by now. But when she hears the noise, she's immediately on guard (of course she would be, as always) and goes out to check it out fairly recklessly, considering it could be a burglar or a witch or anything worse. But instead she finds.. a girl in some.. strange sort of outfit. And not just even that, said girl is lying there on the floor as if the clumsiest action ever just occurred and Ange can't help but just blink a few times in surprise (and in a true 'did that just really happen' fashion). She's still raising an eyebrow as the present is handed over, considering she's more curious as to all of this rather than the present itself. ]
... You're rather different from the usual Santa, huh?
Well, I figured I'd help out Santa this year! You know, cause he's got so many people to visit...
[ It's her story, and she's sticking to it! Or maybe it's the truth. Dreams are quite silly that way. Regardless, she just beams a happy little smile while idly dusting off some of the food crumbs from the pleats of her skirt. ]
Not to mention he said I could have the snacks if there are any out. I think that's an awesome deal for delivering presents!
Ah, how kind. Imitating Santa is a pretty difficult job though, you know, you need to have a little more stealth than that. [ With her kind of tone it's hard to figure out whether she's joking or actually being serious - it ends up sounding rather deadpan. ]
Nobody would give a Santa snacks once he's actually spotted, right? [ a shrug. ] It means 'he' did a bad job.
He's still blinking sleep from his eyes, dressed in a large, worn looking t-shirt and some loose fitted sweatpants. His feet are bare and in the dim light, there's an obvious glow to the still slightly disoriented blue of his eyes. One arm in a sling, spiky hair even more messed than usual he almost looks like a little boy for a second. Except for the arm in a sling that's tainted oil black and the fact that he's carrying a sword that's probably about as large as the girl on the floor. A squint of his eyes and an exhale. His voice comes out throaty and rough with sleep.
