[ The Doctor simply nods to the dreamer as they find themselves in
The TARDIS console room. He's flying around the console, as par usual, hitting random things and random dials. Sitting on his head is a
cowboy hat. Somehow, it just works with the bowtie, suspenders and green coat. Don't ask. ]
Right then! I've got a special treat in mind. [ He

Although, she can't help but stare at that cowboy hat sitting on his head. So when he finally pauses in his huge explanation about what they're doing tonight, she has to perk up before he can start rambling again. ]
What day is that?
[ She pauses. ] And do I get a hat?
Reply
[ He reaches up and tips his hat. ] Do you want a hat? You can get one in the wardrobe.

You've gone through quite a production to arrange this. [Which, perhaps, is flattering.] I won't ask where it is, but make it the best, alright?
[This is perhaps about as relaxed as she can be expected to be. She seems comfortable inside the TARDIS, this odd space that isn't quite belonging to any world. And she's always longed to see new places.]

Or I'm easily bored. Let's go with the production arranging. [ He eyes what she's wearing. ] You can be a bit more festive than that, can't you? Dresses. Girls like dresses, don't you?

Is this what you want?

Refraining from making any sort of comment at least for the moment about his choice of hat, she wandered along beside the controls, finger tips brushing over the controls ever so gently, making sure to be careful to not accidentally trigger a switch or button. Her right eyebrow arched, her expression curious, as she looked to him. ]
Are you certain you'll be able to get the time right for once?

How can I get it wrong? It's a randomizer!

Well, you are an extraordinary Time Lord, Doctor. You can do things that no others can.
[ And she'll wait for the one to sink in and fully register. In the meantime she simply smiles and watches him. ]

Is that a compliment?

When they land?]
Where are we going? [Oh, god. DID KOTETSU PUT YOU UP TO THIS...]

Hello! I'm the Doctor.

I'm Barnaby Brooks Junior. It's a pleasure to meet you, Doctor...
[He trails off.]

Nice to meet you too, Barnaby! Do people ever shorten it? Barny!

A special day? And what might that be? [He doesn't ordinarily celebrate holidays. He's spent most of his life at war, and he has no family to speak of.]
Randomly? [That strikes him as a risky prospect, considering the nature of the vessel.] You think that would be preferable to a plan?
Reply
Oh--you'll probably know once we see it. Otherwise this is going to be very awkward. [ The Doctor grins. ] It's always preferable!

What kind of day could remain constant throughout time and space?
I would be concerned that a vessel capable of randomly landing anywhere or any-when could make its way to some unpleasant destinations. [He might be a little too sensible at times.]

I guess it's not so obvious at first. Depending on where you're from. Which, if you think about it, is kind of sad.
She's old!
