Interlude III - The Third Dream

She blinked at the water around her, a bit unbelieving that she was breathing and see the clear blue all around her. Much of the oceans in Gaia were hardly this clear. But it was also her dream so it could be whatever she wanted. She looked down at

[The mermaid floats by, small, airy bubbles passing through his snout before the small blue creature finally emerges, tiny fins propelling it forward enough to hover close to the human/animal hybrid.

Against the scaly blue skin, the eyes are even brighter - piercing through the dark, vast ocean to watch this strange newcomer.]

[And there? He kind of tenses up because he remembers OH GODS *GENESIS* IS KISSING HIM WHAT.]

[It only made her laugh when she saw his face.]

I'm not sure if I should feel insulted that you are looking at like that.

[The seahorse bubbles a bit from its snout, curling in on itself to cover its face with its tail. This would be the equivilent of a blush, if he were human, Genesis.

Thank Minerva this is a dream because he's expecting Kunsel with photos anytime now.]

[Except it seems like that this dream was a little more sensitive that Zack thought because a sudden flash of a camera goes off and Genesis turns to see... a dolphin? In a helmet?]

Oh, this is so gonna go on the gossip column! I didn't know you liked seahorses, Miss Genesis~

[Genesis was still blinking the lights from her eyes.]

Pardon? Did you just-?

[Buuuut the dolphin was already starting to swim away, no doubt to tell everyone in the underwater realm what he just saw!]

....was that Kunsel?

[The seahorse immediately perks up and gurgles at the sudden flash... and the *voice* that followed. Spinning around, he's just able to catch a glimpse of... a Kunsel dolphin? Swimming away and carrying a camera. Even if this was just a dream, HE WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO LIVE THIS DOWN.]

Kunsel! Get back here!

[Squirming out of Genesis' hold, the seahorse suddenly grows to a titanic size and shape, starting to give chase.

Was this necessary? Probably not. But Kunsel couldn't get away!]

[Genesis reeled when the adorable little seahorse suddenly became a gargantuan seadragon. This isn't what she was reading in her book last night! Why was Kunsel a dolphin and carrying a camera? Why was Zack able to become a seadragon?

Whywhywhywhywhy?!]

[Deep breath. It's a dream. That's why. And just before Zack could give chase, Genesis grabs his tail.]

[Hey, hey! What was she doing? He was getting away!]

Lemme go! We can't let 'im get too far out!

Zack, it's just a dream! What good will it do for you to chase him? It is not even your dream.

B-but...

[And then he shrinks back down, plopping into her hand once more and looking more than a little guilty.]

[Oh goddess, it's The Eyes. And Zack insists on not being a puppy?! Genesis groans softly, trying to look away but she can't.]

Oh, alright! Just stop looking at me like that!

Okay.

Now you've gotta make it up to me!

[The seahorse perks back up, puffing its chest.]

Let's go an' see the rest of the ocean.
