elderly!?

I'm reading a supernatural/buffy crossover that so far is pretty good. However, I just about choked on my coffee when a women in Sam's dream was described as "elderly, 40 at least" excuse me? But did I miss a memo, is 40 now considered elderly? I mean, I know I'm not 20 anymore, and my body definitely knows this, somethings I just don't recover ( Read more... )

So did I. Elderly my ass. In all honesty, I do more now than I did when I was in my 20's. I travel more, I go to more conventions, I have more outside friends. My 20's and 30's were spent having babies and taking care of children. At 48, I finally feel as though I'm coming into my own and that definitely isn't elderly.

I honestly don't know how old the author is, but can't be much more than a teen if they consider 40 to be elderly.
