Okay so, I kind of wanted advice, or maybe just an opinion.
So, for Christmas my mom offered me the option of getting a Keratin treatment. For anyone who doesn't know, this is a very expensive hair treatment that straightens curly hair for a long period of time. While I believe I would love the effortlessness of straight hair I don't know if I would ( Read more... )

so, not gonna lie, you're actually the one who made me stop hating my hair/appreciate curly hair better. and I really really love your hair curly. ♥ so I want to say don't do it. BUT. as I am a sucker for short hair, and since you seem to be as well, I say go for it! would it be cheaper/easier to cut your hair first and then do the treatment?

Aw, I'm really glad. Curly hair is a wonderful thing <3
I love my curly hair a lot, but I think a change might be in order for a while. The good thing is it is not a permanent change and my curly hair will be back. And they suggest you cut your hair after the treatment just because the treatment may make your hair lie differently.

I get bored with my hair so easily, I get haircuts every few months or so. xD so I totally understand needing a change. definitely share pictures with us if you decide to do it!

That's actually one of the benefits of keratin. I was speaking to the stylist about this whileI was getting it done, and she said that I won't notice roots. With the way Keratin works with the hair, the roots will come in straight as well, and when it wears off I'll just wake up one day, take a shower and it will be curly again. I know what you mean though, it's pretty expensive. I actually watched what they did though and it's a pretty easy procedure that can TOTALLY be done at home!
Keratin is really safe and the brand they were using can even be eaten. It contains no chemicals what-so-ever. They said that if I did it at home the worse that could happen is I could do it wrong and it just won't work, but nothing bad would happen. So I'm definitely spending some money to do it at home sometime.
