Hee... the Cross of St. Peter being upside down is a nice touch -- because how could you tell unless you knew?

Also, it's totally in character for Cas to drop that bombshell like it was nothing.

I would pay good money to see Dean fight a bullwhip-wielding ghost. :D

You probably couldn't - unless the top bit of the cross is uncommonly tall to allow it to be driven into the ground, making it more a + than a cross... nevermind.
