One of the factions in Juvenile Orion is E.G.O., the faction of psychics. At the core of E.G.O. is the Itsuki family, including twin brother and sister Haruna and Naoya Itsuki. As heirs to the Itsuki name, both are very strong psychics. However, Haruna's abilities had always been unusually powerful, vastly stronger than her brother's. They continued to grow stronger as she grew up, becoming increasingly unstable. Around the time she was in middle school, they eventually became too powerful to control. They went berserk, leaving her in a coma and unable to survive without the aid of a special machine to regulate her psychic abilities.
She would have remained this way for the rest of her life if it weren't for her brother's stubborn determination. In an effort to save her, Naoya devoted himself to tracking down a "Mindbreaker" for Haruna. Mindbreakers are a special kind of psychic, separate from the other factions, with the ability to regulate the abilities of other power users. A strong enough Mindbreaker, then, would do the same job as the machine Haruna was hooked to, keeping her powers at a stable level so she could live normally. Despite the fact that affiliating themselves with one would make them enemies of E.G.O, Naoya eventually found a suitably powerful Mindbreaker who became their master and freed Haruna of her coma.

Personality: Despite being in a coma for several years, Haruna is in many ways a normal teenage girl. She has maintained a lighthearted and fun attitude in spite of her situation; on occasion she is even shown to enjoy a bit of gallows humor regarding her circumstances. She is not easily flustered, always acting cool and collected even under pressure. Of course, she still gets a serious kick out of teasing Naoya. They have a healthy (read: immature) sibling rivalry and she's always taking jabs at her brother, but she really does love him dearly. They are very close and though she likes to make fun of him, she is incredibly grateful for all the trouble he went through to save her.
On the other hand, she is much calmer and more mature than her twin. Because of the incident where her powers went out of control (and partially simply as a consequence of being a powerful psychic), Haruna was forcibly exposed to much of the hidden darkness in people's minds. Because of this, she sometimes seems older than she is, projecting a wise air. She's not naive about the horrors of humanity or the fight between the factions. However, instead of becoming jaded or bitter, she has accepted this reality and still faces the world with a smile, knowing there is just as much good in the world.
And Haruna is almost always smiling. Cheerful and happy, easily pleased and never taking the little things for granted, she truly loves life. She is a good friend to have around, kind and friendly...in that snarky kind of way that will usually make fun of you before giving you great advice. She knows when to take things seriously, but much like her brother she really doesn't want to. Let's just have fun, okay?
Strengths/Weaknesses: Strengths: As mentioned before, Haruna is an unusually strong psychic. She is particularly adept in telepathy and has various other abilities such as healing and illusions, as well as some more minor attack spells. However, none of that matters because there are no powers in this game! On the more mundane side, then, Haruna is definitely an emotionally stable person. Her mind was nearly destroyed by her own powers when they went out of control, but she has managed to come out of the experience almost completely normal. At least part of this must be attributed to her willpower and mental strength. She rarely, if ever, looses her cool, and is capable of working quickly and efficiently under pressure.
Weaknesses: Haruna's nearly uncontrollable powers obviously come at a price, and without her Mindbreaker around they could threaten to destroy her from the inside out at any time. Once again though, this doesn't even matter because there's no powers here! Thanks, Arceus! Physically, well...the girl's been in a coma for the last several years. She's not going to be the most physically fit person. More than likely, she's gonna be somewhat frail, though not sickly. No muscle tone whatsoever.
Personality-wise; although Haruna is remarkably well adjusted and mature for someone who just got out of a coma, one must keep in mind that she just got out of a coma. She basically spent most of puberty hooked up to a machine in the basement while her family was involved in a centuries old secret war. She's still very friendly, but she's most likely going to have a bit of trouble relating to people.
