Monday Me

Work: Yeah, I had to work Easter Sunday. Not too bad of a shift till the very end, when it took 10 people to subdue a single patient. I gave the injections, which reminded me of a scene out of M*A*S*H except we remembered to pull down his pants. Don't you love those shows when they jab the needles right through the clothes? Uh, that never happens ( Read more... )

I am on a diet and your Easter dinner sounds so goooood. I so want a burger. I had a salad.

A salad is exactly what I'm having for dinner tonight.

I am always amazed about how much writing/editing you accomplish. I work all day, too, (but not in a hsopital) and by evening I can't even stay awake. Weekends I have so much non writing stuff to do. (I am such a whiner.)

Yes. I am in need of a diet.

Yeah, day shift sucks for writers. Occasionally I'll write in the morning, but I do the 90% of it on my days off. And nothing else, of course. ;)

I like the scene in M*A*S*H when they're trying to inject a struggling patient, and Hawkeye tells Margaret, "Wait a minute--get the right rump!" :>)

Yes, I'm in desperate need of a diet. Now if I'd just get started...

Is Mildred Pierce a good movie? I was lying in bed with the flu and passed it by as I flew through channels. But I didn't stop. Should I have?

On my birthday in February, I vowed to start exercising more and eating less. I've lost 7 pounds. This past week, I feel like I'm hungry all the time. I don't want to gain it back!

The one thing that I found really worked is to have cereal for dinner just a couple of nights a week (usually the day after I had a higher calorie day than I'd like).

So that's my tip - I find cereal more filling than salad, but YMMV (your mileage may vary). :)

7 pounds is awesome!!! You go, girl.

I love cereal. Love it so much, I can eat half a box at a time. Then I wonder why I gain weight, lol.

Bring on the COCO PUFFS!!!!
