AHHHH SO ADORABLEtriedinceptionSeptember 9 2011, 07:13:13 UTC
All those reasons - unable to stop thinking about Arthur, the fact that they'd run into each other again and again; that they shared dreams and nightmares together, knew each other's heads now like no one elses... that was one of the many reasons Eames wanted to marry Arthur.
His arms encircled Arthur when he hugged him, and when he heard those words of confirmation he made a nose that was indescribable, happy and relieved and adoring, and pulled Arthur into a tighter hug.
"You're amazing," Eames said, voice low and choked again. "Brilliant and wonderful and god, I could have waited forever for you but I don't want to wait any longer."
Eventually he would pull back and give Arthur the ring, a simple band but elegant in its simpleness, but for now he clung to him.
IKR. TOO ADORABLE. ;____;littlspecifictySeptember 9 2011, 07:20:16 UTC
Arthur found himself grinning into Eames' neck, feeling his own joy fill him at his lover's reaction while his other arm wrapped around the forger's waist to hug him tighter, as well.
"Patience never has been your strong suit." Teasing and adoring all at once.
"You love it," he insisted, and then, "You love me. And I love you. You have to -" he shifted, one arm slipping, the one with the ring, to try and hand it over to Arthur. "You should try it on, I'm sure I got the size right, but it's the principle of the thing -"
He pressed a kiss to Arthur's forehead even as he tried to hand the ring to him.
Laughing softly and pressing kisses to Eames' neck and chin, "Yes, I do. I do love you."
A hand going into the other's hair, keeping him close and both of them still mostly pressed together, while the other reached up to take the box and open it with his thumb. After staring at it for a moment, he presses a soft kiss to the forger's lips before saying quietly, "It's beautiful." And very fitting for Arthur.
He had to let go of Eames to try the ring on but stayed pressed against his lover - now his fiancé - and when he saw it did fit, looked at Eames and asked cheekily, "Does this mean I can call you "Gregory" now?"
Arthur leaned against Eames, laughing again and his fingers moving to brush against the stubble around the other's mouth while his hand was still there, comfortable in his arms and foreheads pressed together. Softly, "Nah. I don't need to. Just wanted to see if I could."
And then, purely because he couldn't resist asking [yet again], "Does this mean I get to have a bachelor party?"
Arthur ended up laughing again, moving his fingers to press a kiss to Eames' lips and humming into it before breaking it and saying, "I am tempted now to see how you would crash such a thing."
Adding, looking up at Eames from under his lashes, "Don't trust me around any strippers?" Especially of the male variety, if he knew Eames' thinking...
Arthur snickers, "You'd get jealous of a dildo if I was getting off on it." Because Arthur could remember that one time when they were younger and had more or less given a beer bottle head when they were at a bar, and in front of other men that kept looking over, and Eames had all but wrenched the bottle from Arthur's hands before he could even set it back on the table.
"Actually, after I tell Dom and Ariadne they'll probably want to arrange it themselves." He looked a little less amused by that prospect but then he knew them well enough to know at least one of them would bring it up.
"Maybe not if I was the one holding it and using it on you," Eames says seriously with a little smirk. But it was indeed true that he enjoyed being on the receiving end of Arthur's attention, and preferred his hands to anything else on Arthur (holding him down as opposed to tying him down.)
Eames merely smiles in response. He'll have to talk to Ariadne and Dom about Arthur's party, then, as he's already forming an idea.
Arthur snickers again as he pulls away from Eames, "You've always been a dirty old Brit." (Even when Eames was technically only five years older than Arthur).
But at that smile, Arthur pokes a finger into the other's stomach, "Ahh, don't think I don't know you're plotting something." He knew that smile.
"Well, you just promised to marry the dirty old Brit, so your words have no threat," he says, clearly amused, and then, adding, with his eyebrows raising higher, "Me? I'm not plotting anything."
But of course he was and the denial was part of the fun.

When it fit, he felt his chest swell more and he gently took his hand to press a kiss to the ring, and then couldn't help the chuckle.
"If you really must, even though I hate it. I'll tolerate it from you though," he said, leaning his forehead against Arthur's and closing his eyes.

Adding, as he turned to go down the hall, "Denial isn't just a river in Egypt, Eames."

"And of course you've been corrupted by me," he adds with a bit of an innuendoish tone.
